DESCRIPTION:We meet every second Sunday at 12pm til 1pm Brisbane time in th
 e Bookstore on Avatar's Abode.\n\nThis is also a Zoom meeting as well as a

 h a PDF of the Effort and Grace book.\n\nWe also have a WhatsApp group jus
 t for those who are interested in Effort and Grace\, it is specifically fo
 cused on Effort and Grace discussions and sharing\, so not an open group f
 or other general discussions.\nAbout Effort and Grace\nDarwin Shaw put tog
 ether his book Effort and Grace in his 90s\, passing on to us what he had 
 gathered from his 60 years\, starting in the 1930s\, of close personal and
  inner connection with Meher Baba. The book explores ways we can work towa
 rds increasing our inner connection with the Divine\, while being continuo
 usly supported by the ongoing Grace of the master\, Meher Baba. It’s abo
 ut the process of readjusting the normal life preoccupations\, focused on 
 ego gratification\, towards one of self effacement and true inner freedom.
  That the goal of a deeper\, richer spiritual awakening\, here and now\, i
 s within our reach\, if we are willing to make the effort\, by His Grace.\
 n\nOur hour sessions are a communal reading of Effort and Grace where we r
 ead and absorb each paragraph\, one at a time\, followed by an open but fo
 cused discussion\, for sharing insights\, reactions or questions that a pa
 rticular paragraph may have stimulated. The combination of Darwin’s word
 s and the group’s sharing in response\, can be a richly rewarding and in
 sightful experience as testified by those who have taken part in our sessi
